LUCANIA, Thourioi. Circa 350-300 BC. AR Dinomos – Distater (24mm, 15.11 g, 5h). Head of Athena right, wearing crested Attic helmet, decorated with Skylla throwing stone, and triple-pendant earring; ΣAN behind neck / Bull butting right; above, ΘOYPIΩN above EYΦA; in exergue, two fish right. Noe, Thurian J8; HN Italy 1823; BMC 38 (same obv. die); McClean 1265 (same dies). Light golden tone. Near EF. Fine style head of Athena. Well centered on a broad flan.
