Brazil João V gold 12800 Reis (Dobra) 1732-M MS61 NGC,

Brazil
João V gold 12800 Reis (Dobra) 1732-M MS61 NGC, Minas Gerais mint, KM139, LMB-288. The largest gold type of the Brazilian duodecimal system and the second largest gold coin struck in the country, just behind the 20,000 Réis from the Dobrão series. Struck in Vila Rica (today Ouro Preto), this imposing issue depicts a highly detailed bust of Joao V, alongside an iconic Portuguese shield. Decidedly Mint State, it weaves a pleasing amount of cartwheel luster all over the crisp peripheries.
