Y A GEORGE III MAHOGANY AND SATINWOOD BOOKCASECIRCA 1800262cm high, 119cm wide, 57cm deep Condition Report: Bookcase with the marks, knocks, scratches and abrasions commensurate with age and use. Old splits, cracks, chips and losses.Various old repairs throughout - see images. Some filler used in places. Key present and operated the locks to the upper and lower doors. No key is present to the secretaire drawer but the lock is open. Pleated silk to the interior of the bookcase is later and in generally good order. Leather inset surface is a later replacement. It has wear and is split along the fold line/hinge of the secretaire front. Sliding trays to the interior of the lower doors are possibly later replacements.
