A collection of small nuggets and flakes of Scottish gold

A collection of small nuggets and flakes of Scottish gold gross weight 15.40g Footnotes: Provenance: Part of a hand-panned/sniped collection, formed over 20 years, from the Scottish Borders area, with landowners permission (sniping involves gold hunters wearing a dry suit and snorkel, lying face-down in a river). Gold is not easy to find in Scotland, consequently it is rare to find large nuggets. One of the largest gold nuggets ever found in Britain, named the 'Douglas Nugget', weighing 85.7 grams was found by the same collector in Perthshire and is now on display at the Hunterian Museum, University of Glasgow.
