A VICTORIAN EBONISED WALL TIMEPIECE LATE 19TH CENTURY With an enamelled dial and single train fusee movement 55cm diameter overall, 17cm deep Condition Report: Updated 10/09/2023 Movement is German single fusee with four pillars and tapered plates - the lower edge of the backplate is stamped 'W & H, SCh' for Winterhalder and Hoffmeier. The movement is reasonably clean and working however a gentle clean/service is advised. The dial retains old surface with a pleasing degree of rubbing and wear most noticeably around the winding hole. The bezel is in good original condition albeit discoloured/tarnished and not quite latching correctly. The case is in good original condition with only minor fading and wear to the ebonised finish; one of the (four) movement/dial securing pegs is missing. Timepiece has pendulum but no case key or winder. Condition: due to the mechanical nature of clocks and the fact that most are of great age we cannot offer any guarantee as to whether they are in working order or free from major faults or restoration.
